The Museum is an ideal location for field trips that are both educational and fun! We can help tailor a visit just for your home school or cyber school group based on any of our special exhibits, permanent collections, Planetarium, or Arboretum.
The museum can accommodate home or cyber school groups of any size with advance reservations, including individual families or larger co-ops. For larger groups of varying ages, we recommend dividing the students according to grade level so that your guide can address each group in an age-appropriate manner, meeting the students at their knowledge level. Students will have a chance to share their knowledge in an engaging question-and-answer atmosphere and deepen their understanding of different subjects through observation of natural and man-made artifacts and artworks.
School group tours are available Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
For grades K-8 we ask that you bring one adult for every 10 students. For grades 9-12 we ask that you bring one adult for every 20 students. All chaperones must stay with their group while rotating through The Museum galleries. Behavior of your group while at The Museum is the responsibility of your group chaperones.
Students: $5 Museum, $5 Planetarium, $10 for both
Group Leaders: Free for Museum and/or Planetarium
